PHIL FAY | Co-Owner + Logistics Manager

Phil brings a unique combination of 10 years of international cargo freight delivery management with top-notch professional videography, delivering a keen eye for visual balance. He oversees a team of talented professionals, supporting complex installation and set-up situations with ease.

One of Phil's passions is sailing on Lake Tahoe with his family and enjoying the winter months of Truckee/Tahoe cutting mean lines in the snow at the area's best mountain resorts.

JANET TIGHT | Senior Interior Designer

Janet's original education was a Fine Arts degree from University of Oregon. That skillset parlayed into clothing and textile design, and ultimately interiors. She completed UC Berkeley’s post graduate program in Interior Architecture and Interior Design, and has worked in both hospitality design and residential interiors in both the Bay Area and beyond for the past 15 years. Janet raised her 3 daughters on skis while her husband was a ski patrol at Sugar Bowl, and they are now living the dream of working and living in the mountains.  Janet likes bringing each client’s unique personality into the architecture of a space, whether that’s modern, traditional or eclectic. She loves challenging spaces and coming up with creative solutions that create a wonderful living environment for her clients.

BRIITNI KERN | Design Consultant

Briitni grew up in the Northeast and after getting her undergraduate degree at Boston University for advertising and art history, moved west to Tahoe City, CA, and lead a successful advertising career for over ten years. She grew up amongst the arts and has a strong background in fine art, photography, design and construction. Briitni went on to study Interior Design at Rhode Island School of Design to pursue her career in interior design, and never looked back. She enjoys focusing on architectural features of homes and is a design chameleon, able to create functional and beautiful interiors in an array of different styles, tailored for each client. She refinishes furniture for fun and if she can’t find the right piece of art she creates it! An avid yogi, runner, and skier, Briitni lives in Truckee with her boyfriend and two beloved dogs, who you can meet if you stop by the showroom!

TIA BELLUOMINI | Design Associate

Tia received her Bachelor’s in Economics and Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and went on to pursue a Master's in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno. Originally drawn to design by her art teacher mother, Tia switched from structural to interior design to pursue a more creative career. She is excited to infuse her passion for art, sustainability and nature into her designs at DesignBar, creating functional and beautiful interiors tailored to each client's unique style.

Tia feels most inspired by her natural surroundings and enjoys skiing and outdoor adventures with her dog, Lola. Tia's creative outlets extend to baking, painting, playing music and designing furniture in her free time.

KAMIE CICINELLI | General Manager

Kamie is an accomplished business leader with more than 20+ years of professional experience in Corporate, Non-Profit and Entrepreneurial management. She was part of the early tech expansion and a member of the startup team at Travelocity and soon after, Yahoo! Kamie has traveled to nearly 100 countries and six continents, where diverse cultures shaped her appreciation and passion for design. In addition to travel and the arts, Kamie is committed to volunteering, supporting literacy, and enjoying hearty laughter. She is an alum of Michigan State and Florida International who remains a loyal Spartan fan.

GIGI McADAM | Furnishings Specialist & Sales

Gigi grew up enjoying the outdoors of Northern California, camping, hiking, waterskiing, sailing, and skiing. To this day, she loves being outside skiing, hiking with her dog, and exploring the mountains and forests around Truckee.

After earning a BS in Economics and an MBA, Gigi began her professional career working on the corporate side of retail merchandising. After her youngest went off to kindergarten, she decided to follow her creative side, beginning a second career as a Landscape Designer. She loves creating outdoor spaces that entice families to go outside and play.

MATTHEW OSGOOD | Professional Artist & Sales

Matthew studied painting and drawing at Otis Art Institute with additional studies at The Art Institute of Southern California in mold making, sculpture and wood work. He earned his BFA at the University of Utah with a focus on foundry work. His art reflects the beauty and richness of the world around him where he draws his inspiration. Creating deliberate brush strokes and scale, using complex colors, and variations in textures and perspective, allow him to fabricate three dimensional pieces for clients. He believes that craftsmanship and retaining the quality of hand-made kinetic art is important to creating beautiful things.

Matthew combines his intensive art studies with his love of all things visual to offer DesignBar customers and clients a unique perspective on how to assemble their environments.

MARIANN REED BUSHA | Retail Sales

Mariann Reed Busha grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area.  After graduating college Mariann became an event planner for Wente Vineyards in Livermore, Elliston Vineyards in Sunol and Scott’s Seafood in Oakland. Later, she landed a Director’s position at Orinda County Club. Retiring in 2015 Mariann now brings all her experience in customer relations to DesignBar.  “I’m looking forward to being able to incorporate my planning experience over to the design side of this incredible new Truckee storefront”.
